LOOKING FOR AWAPUHI WILD GINGER?

I carry the entire line of Awapuhi Wild Ginger.  That makes Tony Hayden Productions @ iStudio16 a searchable signature salon on the product info website.

____________

It’s GOOD to be number 2!! Verified and validated by the Awapuhi Wild Ginger website, the biggest surprise to come out of carving out my own private space was the reaction to this incredible product line.  I’ve explained before, however this happened while waiting for the Moroccanoil distributor to return our call.  During that period, Jorge and I began to discover Paul Mitchell’s indulgence line AWAPUHI WILD GINGER, which is probably a reaction to the popular Moroccanoil product, however as we’ve discovered it’s not just a surface oil… it’s an internal healing one.

A simple 10 item product line. Excellent on all types of hair

Sounds like a “sell”, however Jorge and I have found it challenging (in a positive way) to keep the shelves stocked.

a WELCOME challenge!

Work Shirts with QR Code

Team Tony and Jorge. Our work shirts are complete (for now)

Every Superhero needs a costume.  From a reality standpoint it’s to make characters stand out and be more noticeable.  I suppose it’s also the marketability…is there any kind of superhero /vigilante / comic book hero who is not identified with a costume?  Maybe it’s also my Catholic school influences, or my daily indecision on “what to wear”, REGARDLESS, I have always liked the idea of a work uniform.

I went to Miami Beach the first weekend of March this year.  My new studio16 had just opened here at iStudio College Park and it made NO SENSE what so ever for me to be down there wasting valuable time and dwindling money.  I finally went along for the ride understanding that something amazing and inspirational to the new business was waiting for me down there.  ”Open your eyes to possibilities and receive”, I proclaimed and comforted myself.

Originally meant to hold M&M's and snacks from CB2

Walking and Rollerblading around the million dollar sandbar I peered into the few remaining salons that I could find. (astronomical rent and commercial property value have chased the smaller salons off of the beach area).  The high end hotels now just feature “spas” on property and for THIS I wasn’t skating inside to see.  ”What is this NEW inspirational THING that I’m supposed to collide with?” I thought it was going to be a new miracle Keratin or an au courant European product line that I wasn’t familiar with.  I was open for any salon ideas.  I even purchased two candy/snack bowls from CB2 and reclaimed them as hair color bowls.  (THIS is why I traveled all the way down I-95?) I could have saved money and time by catalog shopping.

Saturday afternoon in Miami Beach

I went to a party on Saturday afternoon and while attempting to enter there was much chaos at the front.  Urgent party goers and hungry for the beat people were rushing the gate. The security and doorkeepers kept yelling “Who’s Next?” while waving plastic armbands.  And that’s the day my idea was born.  Blame it on the Vodka Orange Juices, however it lived alone in my head for the next two days.  I saw the sign on the chair, I envisioned the banner on the website.  ”WHO’S NEXT?” doesn’t pose the “IF” question, it encapsulates the eager crowd that was rushing the front gates of that Miami Beach Pool Party.  That sounded just right for my new business.

Somebody SCAN me!! Doubt it will happen, however I love the design

So for generation one of my new shirts, I’m happy.  THANKS Mother Falcon for doing such an awesome job with such an impressive 3 hour turn around. Jorge and I will coordinate our work shirts when we can.  They feature an active QR Code that scans to this website.  I can honestly say that I doubt ONE PERSON will EVER scan our shirts (unless you want to be kind during your visit).  The QR Code in this case is more about design.  But all in all, I’m happy that THIS finally is OUT OF MY HEAD.  A small sign for the chair, a couple QR Codes on my door and a few promotional items and I’M DONE.  I’ll then sit around in my awesome superhero costume awaiting my next tidal wave of inspiration.
