A. It has been our experience, that good candidates for the Brazilian Blowout are anyone who has frizzy, damaged or processed hair. We have performed the treatment on every hair type (fine/course/frizzy/curly), as well as hair that has been permed, Japanese straightened and extensions. In doing so, we have found that with proper communication and a well considered application, everyone can benefit from the Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatment.

Q. What kind of look will you get from the Brazilian Blowout?
A. The hair will be left totally frizz-free, shiny, effortlessly manageable and with plenty of body and bounce. There will still be the option to wear hair curly/wavy (depending on the hair type) and the freedom to blow dry hair smooth and straight in a fraction of the time invested prior to receiving the treatment.

Q. Can I still receive a Brazilian Blowout if I have highlights and/or color?

STRAIGHT to happier hair! Thermal Reconditioning!

JAPANESE THERMAL STRAIGHTENER – Paul Brown of Hawaii UNWINDIT

Confused about which smoothing technique would serve her best, brave new client Sheryl knew that she was ready to try something to tame her troublesome locks.  Two Keratins this past year (not from this salon) didn’t seem to calm down her curly hair battle.  The truth is, for what she would like to accomplish, she needed something more “internal” than the surface smoothers or keratins.

Japanese Thermal Resurfacing  has now given Sheryl up to NINE MONTHS of worry-free hair.  Exciting and thrilled with her new hair, I sent her out in the world to enjoy her new hair… HOWEVER.. it came with a little followup work on her part.  So here is what her prescription/recomendations consist of….

1.  First off – there is nothing we can fix on the “outside” that didn’t begin internally on the “inside”  Diet folks!  Lack of minerals, vitamins and all of the comprehensive nutrients to support healthy hair.  Stressed? .. well so is your hair!  My advice?  RUN to Vitamin Shoppe and pick up THIS vitamin.  1 per meal.  3 times a day.  It might be bottle THREE until you see results, however….  no conditioner or reconstructor can mend what began with STARVED hair.  now…. STOP… read no further.. and go back and read this vitamin advice again.  I’m SERIOUS!  your long fierce nails, and younger looking skin will also thank-you.

2. Once a week Sheryl has agreed to do a 30 minute Intensive Keratin Conditioner … wrapped under a towel to trap scalp heat in, or under a shower cap.  This incredible Awapuhi Wild Ginger product is going to rebuild and strengthen the bonds in her newly straight hair.  Prior to her service today, this client had done some serious flat iron abuse and now with her Japanese Thermal Straightener, she has a awesome opportunity to heal her hair and really watch it thicken, and grow.

3.  She will now use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, and will always have a leave in straightening balm and/or a healing oil.

I have photo documentation of her FIRST STEPS into happy healthy hair…  we will revisit this post before 2012 ends.
